§ legal — vol. i, no. 04 — last revised may 2026

the cookies note.

A short list of the small things this website remembers, and a longer list of the things it does not.

what is a cookie

A cookie is a tiny text file that a website saves to your device. It can hold a session token, a preference, or a tracking identifier. We use the first two and avoid the third.

what we use

  • Strictly necessary — a session cookie that keeps you signed in to the waitlist form. Cannot be disabled.
  • Preferences — local storage that remembers whether you prefer paper or dark mode and which hero variation you last chose. Set by the site, never sent to us.

what we do not use

  • Third-party advertising cookies.
  • Cross-site tracking pixels.
  • Google Analytics or any equivalent profile-building service.
  • Social-network “like” widgets that phone home.

analytics

We measure aggregate page views with a privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics service that does not identify you and does not share data with any third party. You may opt out by sending Do Not Track in your browser; we honor it.

your choices

You can clear cookies and local storage from your browser settings at any time. You can also use the app and most of this website with cookies disabled, though the waitlist form may not work.
